Who are the switch couples? Here they are.
Ben and Christie (swapped with Tyler and Olga).
Justin and Neesha (swapped with Lachlan and Miranda).
Kendrick and Romina (swapped with Aimee and Marcus).
The beach mansion: Ben, Olga, Justin, Miranda, Kendrick and Aimee. Their therapist is Jacqui Manning.
The city mansion: Neesha, Lachlan, Christie, Tyler, Romina and Marcus. Their therapist is Guy Vicars.
Previously:
IDK it feels confusing to me to explain, but the counterparts met. Marcus met up with Kendrick told him about what had happened with Tyler and Christie and how it made her uncomfortable, and Ken went back and told everyone at the beach mansion. Olga was told the same thing by Christie and Olga ended up taking off her engagement ring. Ben and Tyler met up, and Ben started a fight.
Ben’s future in the experiment is in question because he started a fight. Olga calmed down overnight and now says that Christie is lying and she doesn’t want anything to do with Ben if he returns.
Ben returns to the house and gets to see the other participants. I don’t know how long it’s been since the fight tho, they’re not saying…
He gets in to see everyone except Olga there, and they ask him what’s going on and what happened.
Ben says he did it because Tyler started to laugh about it, which honestly is fair. He starts to cry about it, and tells them he will be leaving the experiment because of his actions. He feels bad for letting down Christie and Olga.
As he’s packing, Olga comes in. She tells him she had a panic attack about it, and now she’s blaming Christie for it, saying it wasn’t creepy and it wasn’t Tyler’s fault.
Ben says, “It doesn’t matter if I say it’s a joke, if I tickled you and you were uncomfortable, it doesn’t make it ok.”
YAAS Ben!
Olga is the worst OMG.
Ben shuts her down and apologises for his actions, and bye.
Before Ben leaves, he calls Christie to tell her what’s going on and tell her she can leave if she’d like to.
Christie talks to her mansion, and tells them that she’ll be leaving as well.
Jacqui Manning tells us that even though Christie and Ben are gone, Olga and Tyler can still learn from the other couples to further their relationship.
The two mansions are meeting – boys night and girls night. They’ll get to talk about their experiences, and get to talk about the misunderstandings and the rumours going on.
Christie arrives home to find Ben there with a big bunch of flowers.
They sit down to talk about what happened.
Christie says it was bittersweet for her, the fact he loves her so much he would fight someone for her.
Justin and Kendrick turn up and wait at the bar for the other three to turn up. They get a bit of a strategy, talk about the other boys and what to expect.
Tyler, Marcus and Lachlan arrive, and grab a round. It’s super awkward.
At dinner, they sit down and talk about what had gone on. Marcus says he feels a bit guilty because he’s the first one who got it over to the other mansion.
Ken kicks off against Tyler, saying that if that had been his partner, he’d be furious. Then Justin said that he’d have wanted to rip his throat out.
Tyler goes, “Oh, no, it was that her arm was on the pillow wall and I kinda did a little, ‘Hey get that back on your side’, kind of thing.”
That’s the first time we’ve heard this story before, because Christie said he reached OVER the wall to tickle her elbow, and had poked her a couple of times as well. Never had there been mention of her being over the pillow wall.
Then, what Justin did in Port Douglas comes up, where he turned the light on and left the door open and telling Miranda she can sleep in the bed.
In the other house, the rumour was that he had come in drunk at 4am and told her to get in bed with him, but Ken and Justin were straight up like no that’s not what happened at all.
Lachlan is the worst again. “I’m here to better my relationship, not sleep with another girl.”
As usual, I write my recaps as I watch the episode, so there will be spelling and grammar mistakes.
