Been a while since my last recap. Got busy with MasterChef, then life in general, and then I got super sick, so today I’m aiming to just smash out the rest of the recaps and be done with that, and then until another show takes my fancy, I might just work on some creative writing for a little bit.
Anyway, we’ve got like maybe six episodes to go before The Super Switch is done! I’ll be writing an opinion piece about the series as a whole once I’ve finished them all up.
Ben and Christie (swapped with Tyler and Olga).
Justin and Neesha (swapped with Lachlan and Miranda).
Kendrick and Romina (swapped with Aimee and Marcus).
The beach mansion: Ben, Olga, Justin, Miranda, Kendrick and Aimee. Their therapist is Jacqui Manning.
The city mansion: Neesha, Lachlan, Christie, Tyler, Romina and Marcus. Their therapist is Guy Vicars.
Previously:
The couples bought their real life partners presents. Some of them did a great job, like Ro and Ken who got each other something meaningful with the same quote that’s important to them both, and others really messed it up, like Justin who got Neesh a bottle of perfume that she doesn’t even know.
Tyler reached over and tickled Christie over the pillow wall, and now he sleeps on the floor.
In therapy, Jacqui and Guy are giving the couples some videos from their partners.
In his video, Ben’s like, “I wanna just keep drinking and hanging out with my friends and Christie doesn’t get it,” and Christie is mad af.
Ben watch’s Christie’s video and she’s like, “This is getting too much and he has to calm his farm on this aspect a bit, or I’ll have to move on.” He starts to cry and goes, “I’m disappointed in myself.”
Tyler’s video is him saying he can’t be with someone who doesn’t trust him and who isn’t jealous every time they go out. Olga starts to cry over at as well. “Why do I try?” she asks. “If that’s how he feels, why do I waste my time?”
Justin’s video is him aggressive and swearing saying she smothers him and he keeps pushing her away, and he can’t see a future with her.
Neesh starts to cry and says they’re there because he doesn’t take her feelings into consideration.
Everyone is told they’ll meet their counterparts – their real partners experimental partner.
Lachlan and Justin talk, and honestly these are the two guys I hate. They don’t get along, and Justin’s like, “Who is he to talk to me about my relationship like this?” and I’m like… that’s why you’re literally here???
It’s clear that Lachlan wants to better himself and get something out of this interaction, while Justin’s just the worst.
When Ro and Aimee meet up, Ro is straight up like, “Marcus doesn’t say nice things about you, saying you need to stop farting in bed, and stuff like that.” Aimee is pissed.
Then, Aimee’s saying that she found it a bit hard that Ken didn’t even sleep in the same room as her, and Ro is like, “um the bed is for sex?? I’m not letting someone share a bed with my man.” Um, ok.
When Ken and Marcus met, they talked about how Tyler tickled Christie over the pillow wall. Ken told Ben about what Marcus said.
In the next episode, the rest of the partners will meet, and there will be a throw down…
As usual, I write my recaps as I watch the episode, so there will be spelling and grammar mistakes.
